What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We may collect information from you to help improve your experience on this website or to improve our projects and services that we provide to you and other community members. The Northwest Cancer summits are designed to educate community members about various aspects of managing health after or cancer diagnosis or to improve awareness about cancer prevention and screening. Information collected on this website or outside as part of these summits will be used to improve these programs.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.We may upload your pictures on our website if you are participating in any of our community events, conferences, fundraisers, or other activities organized by the Binaytara Foundation. By attending those activities, you agree to have those pictures uploaded to our website or on our social media pages. If you do not want your picutures taken during those events, please let the camera operator know and we will try our best to exclude you from those pictures. However, we cannot guarantee that your picture will not be in the group pictures taken at the events that you are also participating in.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
